Men's Lacrosse: Norwich dominates Regis in conference play, 16-1

WESTON, Mass. - The Norwich University men's lacrosse team exploded offensively on Saturday afternoon, scoring 16 goals to cruise to victory over Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) rival Regis College.

The goals came early and often for the Cadets, as Cody Moore (Canton, N.Y.) got things started two and a half minutes into gametime with his first goal of the day. Norwich would go on to score seven in the first quarter and five in the second, effectively putting the game away in the first half as they'd cruise to a 16-1 victory.

Moore set the pace with a four-point (2g, 2a) day, while Aidan Moulton (2g, 1a) and Russell Gilligan (2g, 1a) each put up three points to round out the offensive leaders on the day. A trio of goalies combined for five saves on six shots on goal, with Nick Kandra (Crofton, Md.) providing a spotless first half to pick up his second win of the season.

The Cadets improve to 7-4 overall and 5-1 within the conference. They'll return to Northfield for their next tilt, a date with in-state rival Castleton University on Wednesday night in the annual Connor Roberts Memorial Game at 6:00 PM.
