LAFAYETTE, Colo. – Senior Keegan Frick (Thornton, Pa.) and sophomore Nate Rolling (Taylorsville, Utah) of the Norwich University men's rugby team were named USA Rugby Collegiate 7s All-Americans recently.
Frick was named to the first team, while Rolling was named to the second team, marking the second straight year at the Norwich men's rugby team has had two players earn All-American honors.
The duo combined to help lead Norwich to a seventh place finish at the 2018 USA Rugby Collegiate 7s National Championships on May 18 and 19 in Glendale, Colo.
Rolling scored two tries to help lead the Norwich offense on the weekend as the Cadets posted a 3-2 record, including a 3-0 record to win their pool on the opening day. Frick had seven successful conversions to account for 14 points on the weekend.
Rolling has now been named an All-American in back-to-back years after he earned the honor last year along with Tom St. Pierre.
Norwich went 17-6 in the spring 7s season, including winning its second straight conference championship and making its second straight trip to the USA Rugby Collegiate 7s National Championships.
Over the last two seasons, Norwich has posted a 31-15 record in 7s and 25-2 record in 15s, making it to the USA Rugby National Championships in all four seasons.
