NEW LONDON, N.H. – The Norwich University men's and women's swimming & diving teams traveled to face Colby-Sawyer College in a dual meet Wednesday evening.
The Cadets swept the Chargers with a 154-53 win on the men's side and a 145-98 result in women's action.
The team of freshman Olivia Keliher, fellow freshman Megan Duffy (Shelton, Conn.), junior Domonique Ector (Buffalo, N.Y.) and senior Kylee Russell (Swanzey, N.H.) won the 400 yard meldey relay in 4:56.63, while their Cadet counterparts sophomore Joseph Clark (Acworth, Ga.), senior Dylan Henderson (Commerce Township, Mich.), junior Alex DiGiacomo (Norfolk, Mass.) and senior Matt Clark (Acworth, Ga.) were victorious in 3:59.71. Russell also took first place in the 200 yard freestyle in 2:13.70 with DiGiacomo winning the 50 yard butterfly in 25.49.
Freshman Kat Babcock-Connor (Andover, Mass.) claimed first in the 1,000 yard freestyle with a time of 12:47.31 and took the 500 yard freestyle in 6:20.43 while junior Will Micali (Brentwood, N.H.) took first in the men's race in 11:25.05. J. Clark won the 50 yard backstroke in 27.54 and the 100 yard backstroke in 58.48.
Duffy claimed the 50 yard breaststroke in 34.01 and the 100 yard breaststroke in 1:13.91 with Kelliher taking first in the 100 yard backstroke in 1:07.16. Duffy also won the 200 yard IM in 2:19.03
Henderson won the 50 yard breaststroke in 31.55 with junior Claudia Kearn (Columbia, S.C.) placing first in one-meter diving with 151.90 points.
Norwich is next in action on Saturday, October 27th for a quad meet against host Cedar Crest College, SUNY Cobleskill and SUNY Delhi. That meet is scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
