Swimming & Diving: NU Men Hold Third, Women 14th Following NEISDA's Day Three

BOSTON, Mass. – The Norwich University swimming & diving teams competed in day three of the New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association Championships, hosted by MIT, on Saturday evening.

Through 34 events the Cadet men sit third out of 16 teams with 378 points while the NU women hold 14th place out of 20 teams with 185 points.

The team of junior Austen Greene (Herndon, Va.), senior Dylan Henderson (Commerce Township, Mich.) junior Alex DiGiacomo (Norfolk, Mass.) and senior Matt Clark (Acworth, Ga.) finished in fourth place in the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 1:37.84.

DiGiacomo also placed fifth in the 50 yard butterfly in 23.68 while Clark took eighth place in the 200 yard freestyle 1:50.56 and Henderson claimed eighth in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time 

Freshman Megan Duffy (Shelton, Conn.) finished sixth in the 400 yard IM in 4:49.30.

Sophomore Cameron Ferreira (Cocoa Beach, Fla.) took sixth in the 400 yard IM in 4:24.00 while fellow sophomore Joseph Clark (Acworth, Ga.) finished seventh in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 53.95. 

The championship meet will conclude Sunday afternoon.
