Swimming & Diving: Cadets Swept By Purple Knights

NORTHFIELD, Vt. – The Norwich University men's and women's swimming & diving teams hosted Saint Michael's College in a dual meet Thursday night at Goodyear Pool.

The Purple Knights swept the Cadets with a 161-124 victory on the men's side and a 148-114 result in women's action.

Sophomore Joseph Clark (Acworth, Ga.) won the 200 yard freestyle in 1:52.91 while senior Dylan Henderson (Commerce Township, Mich.) took first in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 29.13.

Junior Alex DiGiacomo (Norfolk, Mass.) won the 200 yard butterfly in 56.08 and the 100 yard freestyle in 50.24 with sophomore Cameron Ferriera (Cocoa Beach, Fla.) taking the 200 yard IM in 2:06.34

Sarah Carls took first in both 1-meter diving contests with scores of 123.50 and 197.80.

Senior Kylee Russell (Swanzey, N.H.) came away with the victory in the 100 yard freestyle in 1:00.98.

Freshman Kat Babcock-Connor (Andover, Mass.) won the 500 yard freestyle in 6:04.28 while freshman Megan Duffy (Shelton, Conn.) took first in the 200 yard IM in 2:17.61

The Cadets are next in action on Saturday, January 18th, traveling to take on UMass Dartmouth in a dual meet at 2 p.m.
