Men's Tennis: Johnson & Wales tops Norwich, 8-1

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Norwich University men's tennis team lost its fourth straight match with an 8-1 loss to Johnson & Wales on Sunday afternoon.

Freshman Noah Stillman (Danbury, Conn.) recorded the only win for Norwich at No. 6 singles with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Robert Michalofsky to improve to 4-3 on the season in singles action.

Johnson & Wales won all three doubles matches by scores of 8-2.

The Wildcats kept up the momentum winning five of six singles matches to punch its ticket to the GNAC Tournament. JWU will face Regis in the GNAC North semifinals.

Norwich (4-5, 0-3 GNAC North) was eliminated from the playoffs for the second consecutive season with the loss.

The Cadets close the 2018 season with matches against Lyndon State on Wednesday, April 25 and then Johnson State on Thursday, April 26.
