WINTHROP, Mass. – The Norwich University men's tennis team had two players earn Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) All-Conference honors on Wednesday afternoon.
Beiter went 7-3 at in singles competition, primarily playing at the No. 3 position. He started the season on a five-match winning streak to help pace the Cadets to a 4-1 record in their first five matches. He also picked up key singles victories over Western New England's No. 3 Michael Tran and Castleton's No. 3 Trevor Hanna.
Beiter is now 17-13 in his singles career at Norwich. He went 5-5 in doubles competition this season, primarily playing at the No. 2 spot in pairs.
Gilmore had a fantastic start to his collegiate career, leading Norwich with a 9-2 record at No. 2 singles. He earned GNAC Rookie of the Week honors once and was the Cadets' most consistent player throughout the course of the season.
His nine wins in singles action ties Jeff Purdy's nine victories for the most by a NU player since the 2015 season.
Freshman Maddy Muthukumaraswany (Montreal, Quebec) was Norwich's selection on the GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
Norwich finished with a 6-5 record on the season and an 0-3 mark in GNAC North play. Head coach Jo Lynn Ostler completed her fifth season at the helm of the program and has now tutored 10 GNAC All-Conference selections in her time at NU.
