Men's Tennis: Regis (Mass.) downs Norwich, 9-0

NATICK, Mass. - The Norwich University men's tennis team fell 9-0 to Regis (Mass.) on Thursday afternoon at the Natick Racquet Club in Great Northeast Athletic Confernece (GNAC) action.

Junior Timothy Birnbaum (Mahwah, N.J.) and sophomore Alexi Gilmore (Haverhill, Mass.) put up the stiffest tests in singles action, but neither were able to garner a victory for the Cadets. 

Gilmore took the first set 6-3 over Nolan Bebarta, but then lost 6-3 and 6-1 in the next two sets to fall at No. 2 singles. Birnbaum fell to Evan Russell 6-4, 6-3 at No. 6 singles.

Norwich (8-11, 0-4 GNAC North) closes out the 2019 season on Saturday when it travels to Woburn to take on Suffolk University in its final match of the season.
