NORTHFIELD, Vt. - The Norwich University women's basketball team picked up their second Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) victory of the season on Saturday afternoon, dispatching the Blue Jays of the University of St. Joseph by a 75-53 final score.

Norwich came out on fire, as Emily Oliver (Sagamore Hills, Ohio) hit a pair of free throws to cap a 12-4 run to start the game off for Norwich. Oliver would lead Norwich to a 43-24 halftime advantage, going a perfect 3-3 from three-point territory in the first half on her way to a game-high 14 points on the day. The Cadets never let the Blue Jays back into the game, cruising to the 75-53 victory.

Oliver led the way with 14 points, five rebounds, five assists, and a pair of steals, while Riley Bennett (Hopkinton, N.H.) matched her 14 points on 5-11 shooting from the field along with five assists of her own. Vanessa Fleury (Lebanon, N.H.) recorded another double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds and Emily Schromm (North Attleboro, Mass.) provided a spark off the bench with eight points, four rebounds, three assists, and three steals in just ten minutes on the floor.

The win improves Norwich's overall record to 7-10 overall this year and a 2-3 mark within the conference. They'll hit the road for the first of three straight road GNAC contests on Saturday, taking on Albertus Magnus at 1:00 PM for their next matchup.
