CENTERVILLE, Mass. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Commissioner Rudy Keeling announced the 2011-12 ECAC East Women's All-Academic Team and the Norwich women's ice hockey team had 12 representatives on the list, which ranked second out of the 12 teams in the ECAC East.
The 12 Cadets were: Julie Fortier, Sr. (Saint-Malachie, Quebec); Sarianne Lynn, Sr. (Wethersfield, Conn.); Melissa Rundlett, Sr. (Saco, Maine); Amanda Wilks, Sr. (Winnipeg, Manitoba); Jackie Perez, Jr. (San Gabriel, Calif.); Jillayne DeBus, Jr. (Howell, Mich.); Kelly Fisk, So. (Hannibal, N.Y.); Mollie Fitzpatrick, Sr. (Portland, Maine); Marie-Philip Guay, So. (Longueuil, Quebec); Baylie Lamarre, So. (Tyngsboro, Mass.); Kayla Lascelle, So. (Cornwall, Ontario); Meghan Papagno, So. (Wakefield, Mass.).
With their selections this year Fortier, Wilks and Rundlett achieved ECAC East All-Academic status for all three years they were eligible for the honor.
Lynn, Perez, DeBus and Fitzpatrick were each repeat selections from the 2011 ECAC East All-Academic team.
To be named to the All-Academic team, the student-athlete must have completed at least one academic year, have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.00 on a 4.00 scale, and have competed in at least one-half of her team's contests during the current season (a goaltender must have played at least 33 percent of her team's minutes).
Plymouth State led the way with 14 players selected.
