NEHC WEEK 1 REPORT

NORTHFIELD, Vt. – Sophomore forward Amanda Conway (Methuen, Mass.) of the Norwich University women's ice hockey team was named the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) Player of the Week on Monday. 

Conway scored three goals and tallied two assists for five points to lead the Cadets to a 1-0-1 record at the Adrian College Bulldog Bowl this past weekend. She was named to the All-Tournament team for her efforts. 

Conway scored two goals and added an assist, having a hand in all three goals for Norwich in its 3-3 tie with No. 5-ranked UW-River Falls on Friday. She then added a goal and an assist in a 7-0 win over Stevenson University on Saturday in the consolation game. 

Conway's five points rank tied for third in the country so far in scoring. 

Norwich (1-0-1, 0-0-0 NEHC) maintained its No. 3 ranking in the USCHO.com and d3hockey.com national rankings that came out on Monday. 

The Cadets will continue their five-game road trip to open the season when they head to UMass Boston and Salve Regina this weekend to open up NEHC play.
