Women's Soccer: Norwich drops 2019 season opener to Ramapo, 4-0

MAHWAH, N.J. - The Norwich University women's soccer team dropped its 2019 season opener 4-0 to Ramapo College on Friday afternoon in non-conference action.

Norwich (0-1) was outshot 21-7 in the game. Sophomore goalie Kim Watt (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) made nine saves in goal for the Cadets, but it wasn't enough to stave off the Ramapo offense.

Ramapo took a 1-0 lead in the 23rd minute on a penalty kick goal Liliann Vizcaino and never looked back. The Roadrunners added three more goals in the second half to pull away.

Sophomore Karyssa Lachance (Gorham, N.H.) led Norwich with four shot attempts and two on target.

Norwich will travel to Castleton on Sunday for a 1 p.m. kickoff vs. the Spartans at David Wolk Stadium.
