NORTHFIELD, Vt. – The Norwich University men's and women's swimming & diving teams hosted Bentley University at Goodyear Pool on Saturday afternoon.
The Falcons swept the Cadets with a 173-128 win on the men's side and a 178-101 victory in women's action.
Freshman Olivia Kelliher (Weymouth, Mass.) took first place in the 50 yard backstroke in 29.91 with fellow freshman Megan Duffy (Shelton, Conn.) claiming first in the 50 yard breaststroke with a time of 33.63. Duffy also won the 100 yard breaststroke.
Junior Alex DiGiacomo (Norfolk, Mass.) finished in second in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 55.47 and senior Kylee Russell (Swanzey, N.H.) also placed second in the 50 yard freestyle in 27.26.
Sophomore Conor Mahnke (Livonia, N.Y.) won both 1-meter diving competitions with scores of 151.90 and 217.7 while junior Claudia Kearn (Columbia, S.C.) took second in both 1-meter diving contests, and 1 posting scores of 96.85 and 135.10.
Sophomore Joseph Clark (Acworth, Ga.) placed first in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 56.84 while fellow sophomore Sam Carlson (Dedham, Maine) won the 500 yard freestyle in 5:15.57.
The team of senior Matt Clark (Acworth, Ga.), junior Harrison Brock (Alexandria, Va.), senior Dylan Henderson (Commerce Township, Mich.) and DiGiacomo won the 200 yard freestyle relay in 1:31.86.
The Cadets are next in action on Saturday, January 12th 2019 as they travel to take on Elms College. That dual meet is set for 1:00 p.m.
