NORTHFIELD, Vt. – The Norwich University men's and women's swimming & diving teams hosted Keene State College in a dual meet Thursday evening at Goodyear Pool.
The Cadet men won 150-137 while the Owls picked up a 188-93 victory in women's action.
The team of sophomore Joseph Clark (Acworth, Ga.), senior Dylan Henderson (Commerce Township, Mich.), junior Alex DiGiacomo (Norfolk, Mass.) and junior Harrison Brock (Alexandria, Va.) won the 200 yard medley relay in 1:40.74. DiGiacomo also won the 50 yard freestyle in 21.91 and the 100 yard butterfly in 56.45 while Clark won the 200 yard backstroke in 2:06.00.
Freshman Megan Duffy (Shelton, Conn.) won the 1,000 yard freestyle in 11:25.97 and the 500 yard freestyle in 5:37.10.
Freshman Gordon Suwirjo (Derry, N.H.) claimed the 200 yard freestyle in 2:01.47 while sophomore Cameron Ferreira (Cocoa Beach, Fla.) took the both 200 yard breaststroke in 2:21.87 and the 200 yard IM in 2:05.63.
Sophomore Sam Carlson (Dedham, Maine) won the 500 yard freestyle in 5:15.13.
The Cadets are next in action on Saturday, January 26th for a home dual meet against Maine Maritime Academy. The meet is set for 1 p.m. and will serve as Senior Day for Henderson, Matt Clark (Acworth, Ga.), Austin Geiger (Clarence Center, N.Y.) and Naveed Johnson (Olympia, Wash.) on the men's team. Russell and Alexis Spry (Corning, N.Y.) will be honored from the women's squad.
