Swimming & Diving: Norwich Men Finish Fourth, Women 15th at NEISDA Championships

BOSTON, Mass. – The Norwich University swimming & diving teams wrapped up competition at the New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association Championships, hosted by MIT, on Sunday evening.

The Cadet men finished fourth out of 16 teams with 502 points while the NU women claimed 15th place out of 20 teams with 223 points.

Senior Matt Clark (Acworth, Ga.) placed seventh in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 49.05.

Junior Austen Greene (Herndon, Va.) finished in fifth in the 50 yard backstroke in 25.12.

Sophomore Cameron Ferreira (Cocoa Beach, Fla.) claimed seventh in the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:18.86.

Freshman Gordon Suwirjo (Derry, N.H.) placed eighth in the 200 yard butterfly in 2:10.03 while senior Dylan Henderson (Commerce Township, Mich.) took eighth in the 100 yard IM in 56.96.

The team of junior Alex DiGiacomo (Norfolk, Mass.), Greene, Henderson and Clark placed third in the 400 yard freestyle relay in 3:13.72.

The team of senior Kylee Russell (Swanzey, N.H.), freshman Olivia Kelliher (Weymouth, Mass.) freshman Kat Babcock-Connor (Andover, Mass.) and freshman Megan Duffy (Shelton, Conn.) took 15th place in the 400 yard freestyle relay with a time of 4:02.16.

The meet served as the final event of the season for both teams.
