Babson Park, Mass. – The Norwich University men's and women's swimming & diving teams competed in a double dual meet against Regis and Babson College on Saturday afternoon.
The Cadet men topped Regis 155-63 and fell to Babson 151-77 while the women were topped 161-64 by Regis and 146-66 by Babson.
Freshman Megan Duffy (Shelton, Conn.) won the 200 yard IM in 2:20.67 and finished second in the 100 yard breaststroke in 1:14.63.
Sophomore Conor Mahnke (Livonia, N.Y.) won the 1-meter diving competition with a score of 191.
Sophomore Sam Carlson (Dedham, Maine) took third in the 100 yard freestyle in 51.50. and fellow sophomore Cameron Ferreira (Cocoa Beach, Fla.) placed second in the 200 yard IM in 2:07.32.
Sophomore Elaine Dudley (North Waterboro, Maine) placed second in the 50 yard backstroke in 30.13 while junior Will Micali (Brentwood, N.H.) took second in the 500 yard freestyle in 5:27.00. Micali also finished third in the 1,000 yard freestyle in 11:29.64.
Sophomore Joseph Clark (Acworth, Ga.) placed third in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:57.52 while junior Domonique Ector (Buffalo, N.Y.) also claimed third in the 50 yard freestyle in 27.17.
Junior Alex DiGiacomo (Norfolk, Mass.) took third in the 50 yard freestyle in 22.96.
The Norwich men improved to 4-2 on the season in dual meets, while the women are now 3-3.
The Cadets are next in action on Saturday, December 1st at the Bridgewater State Invitational.
