LYNDONVILLE, Vt. - The Norwich University volleyball team traveled to take on in-state rival Northern Vermont-Lyndon on Wednesday night, rolling to a 3-0 victory in non-conference play.
The Cadets came out firing on all cylinders, opening up a 5-0 lead right away. Norwich only committed one error in the set, hitting at a .769 clip as a team on their way to a 25-7 set win. Set two and three were much the same, as Norwich took the sets by scores of 25-11 and 25-9 to cruise to the 3-0 match win.
The maroon and gold employed an all hands on deck approach today, as eleven different Cadets saw action. Marissa Perrotti (Moultonborough, N.H.) put up four kills, seven service aces, and a pair of digs while senior Emily Oliver (Sagamore Hills, Ohio) put up 23 assists, six service aces, and five kills. As a team, Norwich hit .475 on the night while only committing six attack errors.
Norwich will head into their final home date of the 2018 season with a 9-11 record and a 2-6 mark within the GNAC. They'll square off with Regis and Suffolk in a conference tri-match set to get going at 11:00 AM in Andrews Hall.
