Ashlynn Nuckols begins her eighth season with the Norwich University women's volleyball program in 2019. Hired as only the second women's volleyball coach in school history, Nuckols has racked up 63 overall coaching victories spanning seven seasons in Northfield.
In her first season as head coach at Norwich, Nuckols and the Cadets finished the 2012 campaign with 10 victories against a highly-competitive schedule, taking on several programs from upstate New York and across several conferences. Most recently, Norwich has qualified for the postseason in 2013 and 2014.
Under the tutelage of Nuckols, Kelsey Mancini '15 earned Great Northeast Athletic Conference Third Team All-League honors following her outstanding senior campaign in 2014. Furthermore, her student-athletes have earned 17 placements on the GNAC All-Academic Team, a list that honors athletes that have accumulated a 3.25 cumulative grade-point average.
Nuckols joined the Cadets from Clarkson University in Potsdam, N.Y. where she served as the top assistant for the women's volleyball program. She helped the team to an impressive 29-9 record in 2011, qualifying for the NCAA Division III women's volleyball tournament that was hosted by the Golden Knights.
A 2009 graduate of Davis & Elkins College, Nuckols has also served stints as an assistant at Austin Peay State and Shenandoah. As a student-athlete, she was a two-time All-West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honoree and went on to graduate as a dual major in Physical Education and Sports Management. She would later receive a master's degree in Health and Human Performance at Austin Peay State. Nuckols also holds a master's degree in Business Administration from Norwich University.
