Cross Country: Women Place Sixth at GNAC Championships

STANDISH, Maine – The Norwich University women's cross country teams competed at the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship meet, hosted by Saint Joseph's College (Maine) on Sunday.

The Cadet women finished sixth with 123 points.

Sophomore Olivia Giarrizzo (Tampa, Fla.), who placed 16th overall in 21:53 on the 5k course. Junior Robyn Hageman (Westlake, Ohio) finished in 18th in 22:03 with freshman Belle Magna (Canton, Conn.) placing 25th in 22:44.

Senior Amy Blair (Fairfax, Vt.) (31st place, 23:04), Junior Sarah Ingraham (Shoreview, Minn.) (38th, 23:27) and junior Madison Eline (Southampton, Mass.) (40th, 23:32) capped Cadet point getters.

The Cadets are next in action on Saturday, November 10th at the NCAA Division III New England Regionals, hosted by Bowdoin College. The women's race is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. with the men's contest slated for 12:15 p.m.
