MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Norwich University men's and women's cross country teams competed in the 2019 Aldrich Invitational, hosted by Middlebury College on Saturday.
The NU women finished in fourth place with 108 points while the Cadet men placed fifth with 127 points.
On the women's side, NU was led once again by freshman Remi Parker , who finished the 6k course in 25:43.8 and claimed 22nd overall. Senior Robyn Hageman (Westlake, Ohio) came in just behind Parker in 25th place with a time of 26:16.4. Junior Olivia Giarrizzo (Tampa, Fla.) finished 32nd overall in 27:36.8 while freshman Jacie Harlow took 40th with a time of 28:24.8.
In men's action, senior Adam Saucier (Massena, N.Y.) was at it again, leading the Cadets with a 25th place finish on the 8k course in a time of 28:12.1. Junior Trenton Shimata (Colorado Springs, Colo.) finished just behind Saucier in 26th place in 28:12.9. Senior Kevon Pascoe (Richlands, N.C.) finished 34th in 29:04.5 with sophomore Zachary Bergeron (Blackstone, Mass.) coming in just behind in 35th with a time of 29:04.6. Sophomore Nate Stuckey (Fort Bragg, N.C.) capped NU runners in the top 40 with a 39th place finish in 29:24.0.
The Cadets are next in action on Saturday, October 12th for the Westfield State James Earley Invitational. Both races are slated for 10:30 a.m.
